Nope. I just use a plastic scraper and then cleaned it up with some Goo Gone it was fine. I have those old ones on for probably 4 years.

If you can't find a plastic razor blaze just use a cheap plastic putty/scraper. One thing let your jeep sit out in the sun. Once warmed up it helps as well.
