Good morning ladies and gents, having been recently on a trip across the states recently i thought i'd share in my adventures and experiences. Our trek took us from Ontario, canada through 12 states, 6 US national parks and 3 offroad trails and we went swimming in two of the great lakes.

We headed for the border on the first night between ontario and michigan. We then began the long trek from Michigan to the nebraska/iowa state line. We stopped at the indiana dunes national park and took a swim in lake michigan and then headed west. We also stopped at the i80 truckstop which was apparently the largest one in the world. So they said anyways. They had some nice vehicles in there.....20190824_211142.jpg

The next day we made for Colorado. Didnt see much but it was a long nice drive. Definitely stopped at the sign to take a photo. From there we stopped in loveland for the night and headed for the rocky mountain NP in the morning. Took the scenic drive up Old Fall River road. It was beautiful and id definitely recommend it to anyone whos going there. Its a songle lane road with switch backs that leads up to the Alpine visitors centre and you have a very good chance of seeing Elk along the way. We did.

Ill have to add the other pictures as theyre on my Gfs camera.

But after RMNP we headed down to Ouray. Stayed at one of the places that had some of them natiral hotsprings. It was quite nice. Then headed out for blackbear in the morning.

After dropping into telluride and having lunch at the falls we headed for moab!

After we checked into moab we decided the first order of business should be to sleep and get up early to hike the delicate arch bright and early.

We soent some of the day relaxing due to the heat and then trekked out to potash rd and see the dino foot prints and the petroglyphs.

Gotta get photos from GFs camera and then ill put some on here.
I did stumble upon something i thought would be fun but it was getting late and the sun was starting to set.

The next day we took on both Fins n things and hells unfortunately the camera and my phone were dead so i didnt get photos from hells but i got some from fins.

We also went out to arches that night and took some milky way shots of balanced rock.
Please disregard the quality i stole the GFs shots from instagram. Ill get the real ones later.

After moab we headed south, to arizona. We didnt go to the grand canyon because we were on a mission to see the Seguaro cacti in Seguaro NP. But we did stop at the four corners monument along the way.
Saw some signs for poisonous animals along the trip but none appeared...

We then started our trek home stopping in New mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Ohio. We stopped at white sands national monument in NM, Cadillac Ranch the Leaning tower of Texas just east of Amarillo

Our last couple of days were spent rolling through Oklahoma Missouri and Ohio.
Saw the Gateway Arch in St Louis.

And made a very special stop in Toledo before heading home

If the photo size is too large they do that. Looks like an awesome trip!

Edit: That hike to Delicate Arch is a HIKE!
Wish we did that in the morning or evening - instead we did it with the rest of the retarded tourists in the middle of the day in July :thumb:

It was very scenic. We were goong to try to do the grand canyon as well but we were starting to run short on time. But we'll definitely be back to Utah and colorado for sure. We both enjoy it there the most. We'd probably fly next time though.

Good to know. And yeah we talked about when we were going to hike and since My jeep doesnt have AC so it was easily decided to do it first thing then because even by 8am it was getting roasty in the sun. It was 100 in moab and 110 in AZ so we planned our outings carefully to avoid some of the mid day sun. The altitude difference didnt help us either being from like 100ft above sea level at home and then being at 4000ft in moab. Lol

I hope you get to do it. It was definitely a wild ride and i had originally thought about flying out to vegas and renting a car and doing more stuff out west and renting a jeep for a few days but it just seemed ridiculous to rent a jeep when i had a perfectly good one i drive every day.

Ha ha yeah it was a lot of road miles. I put 9000km(5700miles) on in under 3 weeks. Lol did an oil change right before i left, and had to do one last night. And yeah i was going to do imogene if black bear hadnt opened when i got there. I kept an eye on a few websites and instagram to see if anyone had run it and i honestly think it opened the week prior to me being there.

Thanks. And it took a lot of planning i think I posted a thread on here in march/april about whether i should drive or fly and since then the planning started. And being that i decided to drive i figured i might as well see something in each state. We ended up buying a national park pass because it was 80 bucks and since i figured we'd hit more than four it paid for itself. And its still good for an entire year so we can slide into the states closer to us and use it till next august.


And for anyone whos curious This is more or less what my route looked like.

I remember you posting about it and am glad it worked out for you.

Ha ha thanks. And theres more where that came from i have download a bunch of the photos my GF took off her camera. I just stole em off instagram so theyre not nearly as good of quality as the actual ones. Plus shes got more photos since i did all the driving. She did most of the picture taking.
