Caught the Bug
Hello again all. I was slightly to fairly active on here several years ago and eventually sold my jeep. I did end up buying a Harley, went through a divorce in 2020, stayed single for a year, got some crap paid off, etc. During that time I was working on a Suburban for a full on crawler and have dumped a lot of money into that project and its still not drive able. I also bought an M1009 K5 Blazer and might make it the "crawler" instead of the Suburban. I bought a place with 4 acres that had a 40x50 building on it with a really nice one bedroom apartment in half of it. Reconnected with a friend from high school and her and I started dating and are currently engaged to be married with the wedding coming up on November 27th. Ended up selling the four acres and moving down to her place on her family land and currently trying to get a shop built for all of my junk and a place to work on things. Plan is to also work on vehicles on the side to make extra money to fund my habits.

Ive also been eyeballing JLs pretty hard lately and sometime soon maybe, I would like to find a two door. It could be another year or so though but Ive been looking at a lot of stuff for them already. We want something newer like a JK or JL to drive it where ever, do some light to moderate wheeling, and drive it home. I'm hoping for another Rubicon and if we go two door route I'm thinking just a 2 or 2.5 inch lift and 35s. Four door probably 2.5 or 3 inch lift and 37s as I think they look better on 37s. I feel like the two doors look and function great on 35s based off what I'm seeing on the internet so far.

So I thought Id try to get active here again and find out some more info on the JLs. Ive still been keeping up with a lot of the Wayalife videos on Youtube. I reset my password here and logged back in to start looking around here again.

It all seems very complicated.

My vote is for the 2-door JL Rubicon on 35s. 😄

Eh, this one is a good one. She loves a lot of the same stuff. Loves 4x4s etc, use to go with me some. Loves riding the Harley (trike now and just wants to ride behind me and not get her own) and she wouldn't mind a Jeep for the purposes I mentioned above. She knows how much $$ I have wrapped up in everything and doesn't care cause she knows I will pay bills etc first (she contributes too) and everything else is when we have extra $$. I also worked sales on Saturdays at our local Harley dealer after I went through my divorce and accomplished a lot on the Harleys doing that.

She is down to earth and doesn't expect a lot, and I strive to give her everything. Its a completely different situation than my last marriage and I really wish I would've asked her out back then. We were different people then though so who knows. She was a single mom for 15 years until her and I started dating a few years ago and she done it almost 100 % on her own.
