Watcha cookin'?

I would’ve guessed rosemary because that’s right but I’m looking at lavender growing next to me and it looks the same. View attachment 331045

I guess I’m not sure what lavender is cooked with, but I’ve heard it’s good for scaring off skeeters.

I wouldn’t cook skeeters. I’ll bet there’s a Mandarin dish for them though.

Looks nothing like it. At least not to my blind eyes.

Dammit you’ll make me pluck a twig.

Never mind my wife yelled at me “It’s not a banzai!”

Now I’m in trouble. But it smells good and I rubbed it on my shirt to keep the sky raisins away.

Dude... how much weed have you smoked today?

None for a long time, but no judgement.

I’m totally cracking up...

Lavender is a classic pairing with duck...and when it flowers, it doesn’t look like anything else...not much more beautiful than a field of lavender...

Nothing wrong with a communion with herbs in my book...

I’ve seen it flower in fields and fields in Texas. It’s fucking beautiful. I could live there without care. Nothing to do but grow more lavender.

But life doesn’t let us do that. So I grow it on my porch. Good times in Chicagoland.
