Warn Zeon and trimming frame Rails

Hello, just watched Eddie's new Warn Zeon XD install video and had a question about trimming frame rails.

It looks like in the video the Warn Zeon XD winch sat behind them, is the factory steel bumper / Warn winch plate the only one that allows this?

A couple of years ago we installed a Warn Elite full-size bumper on my wife's Wrangler with a Zeon 10s winch had had to trim the frame rails, I haven't put one on my Gladiator yet to avoid this, is the new XD winch small enough to fit between them? Are there any other options to get the winch behind the rails without trimming?

Thanks!

We have installed the ZEON on several JL/JT's on various recessed winch mounted bumpers without any issues. The ZEONS are a tight fit though. The XD's being slightly smaller definitely helps and you shouldn't have any issues. IF you do, it should only be a slight trim of the top/inward corners of the frame horn mounts but you should be ok, especially with the XD.

This is in the install instructions for the Warn elite / Fabfours bumpers, you havent had to do this? It for sure wouldn't have fit without it.
