VIDEO : WARN ZEON XD Installation & Highlights

I'm a fan of Warn and their Zeon line, but my 9.5ti (bought in 2009) has been solid and will probably outlive me.
Oh yeah, the 9.5ti and really, all the old WARNs I've run and still run on Moby, a 9.5xp are great winches.
Mel said it best during your gladiator build video… “when you’re using a winch it’s usually worse case scenario” nuff said IMO. Buy the best you can afford and if you can’t afford the best, keep saving. My VR10S has been faultless in the 7 years I’ve had it but, I’m due for an upgrade and this is on my list.
Yup, couldn't have said it better. And I should note, even though they are made in China, I have so far seen the VRs perform well.
Great instruction as always! (y)
Thanks! Glad you found it to be informative :)

As some may know I am adjacent to Warn (warn is our parent company) , and at events I sell a lot of Warn winches and the mount for the Jeep steel bumper, this video will be the one I tell folks to watch before the install! Also I hate tight spaces and bolts. LOL

Kuddos Cindy and Eddie.

LOL - thank you my friend and glad to hear you approve of the video 😊

Great video as always! Definitely the go-to video for anyone installing one, especially on a factory steel bumper.

You said it perfectly about buying the best when it comes to recovery and safety. Loved the parachute analogy and demonstration haha I still don’t understand why so many people choose to go cheap with recovery.

It's really not necessary to get the puck to sit totally flush.

I do too and unlike other aftermarket winch plates that do the same, I like how the WARN has added support that ties into the frame horns below for added strength.

The new XD being slightly smaller really does help a lot.
That's good to know thanks Eddie

LOL - glad you enjoyed the video and parachute thing 😁

My hat's off to you Eddie for posting these videos for the benefit of all, sharing your knowledge and passion only to be criticized. That's a labor of love. Pour yourself a double tonight and know the grateful far outnumber the whiners.
LOL - I appreciate the kind words. I think the only thing that kinda bugs me is that it never used to be like this. Before social media, I could post information up and people would say "thank you" or say nothing at all. People shitting on me is a relatively new thing and may just a sign of the times.
