Disconnecting your front sway bar is one of the best things you can do to help improve the capabilities of your Jeep JL Wrangler or JT Gladiator off road. Doing this will allow your front axle to have a greater amount of articulation or what is known as flex and that’ll help your Jeep to be stable and keep all your tires planted on the ground, even while driving over significantly uneven terrain. Of course, if you have a Rubicon, this can be done with a push of a button but on a Sport, Sahara, Willys or pretty much any non-Rubicon model made, you'll have to break out some tools to do it. And, it's for this reason that there are a whole host of aftermarket options available and all are designed to help make this job quicker and easier. In this video, you'll get to see what my favorite sway bar disconnect solution is and why and you'll even get to see how to install it.

Cool the engineers left some things compatible with the JK's. My Evo no limits was one of my favorite mods... even on a Rubicon.
Yeah, I wasn't sure it would work and it did take a little finessing but otherwise, happy to have it.

A relatively easy way to disco. I replaced a perfectly good working electro unit on my Rubicon just for the dependability of it, and never looked back. No Limits is a great option.

Funny, I was just asking about this a few weeks ago and you indeed were looking at them to figure out if they’d be a direct fit hahaha

I need to inquire about the one I had claimed. Was coming off a part out so who knows if he’s gotten to it by now.

*Edit: the one I had a lead on was too burnt to save I guess so I’ll look for one more local.

JK to JL with minor modification, (y)

but it seems the "keeping this one mostly stock" is getting tested :ROFLMAO:

That's what I said about the JL, keep it mostly stock...riiiiigghhhhtttt 🤦‍♂️

The no limits mod will be going on my JK when the motor gives out. Fortunately I live in the desert and don't play in water too often so it's still good to go. Now saying this it'll shit the bed next time out...haha.

Nice video, guys. Such a great option when the disconnect motor goes out since they cost so much. Actually, kinda tempted to just replace it anyways because I hate that it requires 4WD engaged and that it reconnects at 17ish mph on the trail.

Man I loved when I upgraded my jk sport with the rubicon sway bar! Will have to make that switch again it looks like!

It is nice to just be able to disconnect and reconnect without having to hope the motor works or having it reconnect just because you're doing more than 30 mph.

LOL - I remember that. I'll be honest and say that I had already bought the JK sway bar when you asked, I just hadn't installed it yet so I didn't know for sure if it would work. As you saw in the video, it did with a little clearancing.

LOL - the sway bar is off a Rubicon so it's still factory 😁

LOL - there are definitely benefits to a push button disconnect. Hope yours keeps working.

That is kind of a pain but it is also nice to just be able to push a button to disconnect 😁
I have never found a rubicon sway bar that cheap. I so want to put one on my JK. Great video.
You need to find one with a motor that doesn't work. That's when they get more affordable.

Yup, it's the way to go in my opinion.

That is really cool. I had no idea that a JK bar would have fit. I'm going to have to add that to my list.

Damn, you got a sweet deal on the Rubi swaybar AND nolimits! I've run this setup on my JKU for many years and I really love how simple it is. I've thought about upgrading to the nolimits air actuation, but then, the standard one is so simple to use, I can't justify the cost. Anyways, nice video showing how it adapts to the JL.

Okay I want to see the access to that knob. Waiting for the part 2 video now. :)
LOL - you still need to get on the ground and mainly because a stock Sport is so low to the ground but it takes all of 30 seconds or less to do it. You'll get to see it in the next video.

The sway bars are different but I did measure Moby's and our JT's and dimensionally, they are the same. Obviously, I did have to do some clearancing of the support bar but that's it.

The deals are out there or at least, for sway bars that have motors not working. We found 2 right away and as soon as we started looking.

No worries @wayoflife dont want to be like “yeah, it fits brosef” and then later “oh yeah, I found out it needs some tweaking to work” lol so I appreciate that.

I’ll get one eventually 🤙
