VIDEO : Multipurpose Headliner Storage System for Jeep Wrangler & Gladiator

I live in the desert in Socal. I bought these hoping they would hold up. First 100 plus week and both headliners came loose. I followed the install instructions. No help or suggestions from their support. Great idea but they don't hold in the heat.

Are you parked outside on direct sun? We noticed on our factory liners the more you park in heat and direct sun the more the adhesive breaks down. 100 degrees in shade or a garage and it’s fine but direct sun kills them.

The version of 3M tape that Hot Heads uses, holds up to the heat.
Installed them in my 2010 JK and the 2018 JL, they both sit outside all year and they are still holding,14 yrs on the JK, 6yrs JLU

Thanks for the info. My wife has a Wrangler with factory headliners and we haven't had an issue. I will try the 3m tape. I didn't even put any weight and they failed with their adhesive. Thanks

I should note, since installing these headliners, I've had zero issues with them falling down as so many people insisted would happen. And, this in spite of the unusually hot summer we've been having AND sitting in 120° Vegas heat and in the sun for multiple days. Not sure if the set we got had a different adhesive or maybe my prep/install was done differently but I thought I'd share my experience thus far.

Of course, if things change, I'll be sure to post up about it.
