VIDEO : High Performance BLING for our Jeep

Eddie, what do you think about the rear control arm correction brackets from Metalcloak? I'm hoping they might address the bind seen in your photo of the rear at full droop.

God I love everything about this! Glad Mel brought back the envy links

So question about the ohlines. I know every jeep is gonna be different but curious as to where you ended up with the shock settings on the 392 and bandit?
Good question and what I can tell you is that after the Rancho coils settled and after installing a winch on our 392, the characteristics of the shocks changed quite a bit or at least, up front. With all the weight and less up travel, I've had to bump the compression to at least 8 or less to help dampen adequately and prevent the tall bump stop towers from bottoming out on the axle. I am already planning to install new taller coils and most likely from EVO. Still running 10/10 in the rear.

On this gladiator, it has a LOT more lift and is a lot lighter and so at 10/10, it rides fantastic and to the point where I'm starting to drive too fast off road. While it is no coilover, I'm thinking that 5/10 up front and maybe 8/10 in the rear might help out though. Gotta play some more to get a better idea.

I should note that I like my ride to feel sporty and that most people might like theirs to be set softer.
Now go out and play in the mud, snow, dirt, rocks...just remember to keep all four on the ground ! ;);)

Are you running 4.5" of lift, shocks that allow for really big travel and find yourself flexing out or in a position where your rear end is drooped out like what you see and on a very regular basis? If so, the geometry of the factory rear control arms is kind of lame and it will cause bind like you see in the pics and the Metal Cloak brackets will help to mitigate that. If not, I might save your money as it is otherwise, not a big deal.

That's some sexy looking parts. As soon as you pulled it out of the box, my first thought was antiseize lol.
LOL - oh yeah, even though the shanks on the Johnny Joints are zinc plated, I wouldn't feel comfortable about not using some antiseize on them.
The gold coordination is off the charts. My OCD approves 100%. Ha ha. Looking great.
Glad you like what you're seeing.
Looking great! I’ll have to look at a set of Ohlines in the future 👍
Dang. Onlins would look so cool under my rig….
So, I just talked to Ohlins this morning and found out that they're actually discontinuing these shocks - boo! However, I was told it's because they're working on and going to be releasing a bigger and better shock and very soon, both for OE applications and MORE - yea!

Any chance it would be for JKs as well?

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure they were available for for a JK now. Either way, from what I was told, they're trying to expand their line of OE shocks to cover more vehicles.
I’ve definitely seen them for the JK now but I’ll hopefully be getting some work on the JK done this coming fall.

They are super pricey but man they look so damn good!

I'll have to double check but I want to say 14mm. You need a 24mm socket for the nut and a 21mm for the bolt.
Sorry, It was sarcasm, because I saw you use a big ass crescent wrench in the video,,,, which I have not seen before, nothing short of wrench or socket, and a description. I cannot help myself,,, my brothers tell me I need a filter between my brain, and my mouth, and this case, the keyboard.

Was thinking it might be a good idea to grab a couple extra sets of the rebuild kits, to future proof these and your 392s, before they’re gone.
