Hooked
simply awsome.
I think the tank looks low only because we trimmed our bed and running a high-n-tight bumper. That said, I'm eager to test out our rig on the rocks now and find out for myself. That is really awesome Eddie. It’s making me want to get off the fence and get mine done now.
Question for you- I know the added fuel capacity is a plus but do you see the tank being fairly low a problem?
We aired down to about 10 psi and yes, it's a crazy rush going this fast over terrain that most Jeeps can't do more than 20-25 mph over.Great video. Looks like a lotta fun. Bet it’s a rush going that fast.
Just to be that nerd: what tire pressure were you running? 42s doing 65 through 2 foot moguls is foreign territory to me.
You can definitely get up to speed with the V6, it just takes a bit longer to get there. That would be the big benefit of a V8, you can get on top of the whoops faster. That’s pretty bad ass, looks super fun and smooth. Truck actually seems to move pretty well for the V6, sure it will only get better, Thanks for sharing. Also, How does a suspension like that articulate side to side, like on rocks? Obviously cycles ridiculously up and down. But curious how much wheel travel you get articulating.
Thank you. That is so bad ass! Congratulations on the new upgrades Cindy and Eddie. I bet it’s a blast.
Glad you enjoyed our SEMA coverage and yes, Mel really out did him self with this.I just binged watch all the SEMA vids back to back. This test run was pretty impressive. Mel stepped up his game taking race car parts and perfectly adapting for the JT. Score for you guys!!
Awesome, glad you enjoyed seeing this thing in action and look forward to seeing you soon. The JT is freaking badass!! Like a knife sliding through warm butter it was that smooth. lol Mel did a damn good job. Looking forward to seeing it out at A2Z!

Regarding the rocks, this trailing arm suspension system has a triangulated 4-link design. We should be able to get CRAZY big flex out of it. Looking forward to showing that off. If anything, we're looking into installing a Currie Antirock in the rear to help stiffen up the rear end.
Glad you like what you see.simply awsome.
LOL - it's definitely built to take on some big stuff now.wow....certainly Baja worthy, maybe Dakar but it's a looong stretch.
LOL - awesome. Glad the video was able to capture some of things this Jeep can now do.Really awesome Eddie watched the video a few times just amazing.
LOL - SHHHHH! Cindy can see these comments.Just amazing!!
Now get a cage, harnesses, there’s another 20mph. If you have the balls!
That is sooo sick!!If bombing across the desert is your idea of off-road fun, you really need a suspension system that can take the abuse of driving hard and fast over rough terrain and soak up the big hits that you're sure to get from taking on whoops. And, it's for this reason that Cindy and I decided to take our then, brand new Jeep JT Gladiator to Off Road Evolution and have them completely transform it with EVO long arms and a double throwdown suspension system. Unfortunately, at the time, this was only available for the front but now, they offer an awesome solution for the rear that compliments it perfectly - trailing arms!
As you may have seen on our recent SEMA video, this new trailing arm system does come complete with a new 40 gallon gas tank, a triangulated 4-link design and King 3.0 coilovers and triple bypass shocks. And, in this video, you'll get to see us testing it out for the very first time, out in the Mojave Desert and over some really big whoops.

So, you can definitely do this in a JK with DTD and if you have a V8 like Moby does, you can get on top of the whoops faster but... you'll feel every hit and right to the bone. It is what will keep you going slower. The suspension will keep your Jeep together but that's about it. On our Gladiator now, you can hit these whoops faster and a lot longer being that the suspension soaks up the big hits extremely well. As a driver or passenger, the ride is measurably more comfortable and that's what makes it dangerous. How does it compare to the DTD on the JK? I have to assume the additional travel in the rear and longer wheel base have to make a huge difference!!
LOL - too funny
That’s funny.
If you’re going Antirocks, I would suggest the steel version…I completely chewed through the alum teeth on mineI think the tank looks low only because we trimmed our bed and running a high-n-tight bumper. That said, I'm eager to test out our rig on the rocks now and find out for myself.

Rock Jock makes several torsion bars now and I'm pretty sure everything is steel now too.If you’re going Antirocks, I would suggest the steel version…I completely chewed through the alum teeth on mine
