Caught the Bug
I was thinking of something to do with your early-morning fender trim, too. :yup:
"Early" is good too!

Alright Charlie and David have done it. "Late Night" it is! [emoji28][emoji16] thanks guys haha! Btw both of you check the link I posted to check out the pics there is quite a few pics of both your guy's rigs in action and stand still! let me know what you guys thinkAgreed. Both are winners.
Dave, you have two options on the table...
Btw jeep is still not named, any ideas??
"Chainsaw"
Im in ! Sounds like tons of fun
That would be nice but we used a Angle grinder with a cut off wheel
Thanks to Tom for bringing it out at as well !
And after riding with iRonin, my bank is about to take a pretty big hit... lol
So what are you thinking of getting?
The Double D... assuming I can get a decent wrenching party together. I don't have the tools to instal the long arms. I'll either have to start buying tools, and push back the lift, or settle for the enforcer. But honestly, upgrading to the long arms after the fact will cost over $700 more then going with the Double D right off the bat, not to mention the adjustable lower control arms from the enforcer kit no longer being used... buy once, cry once right?
I am in the same boat. I forgot to ride in his this weekend. Not that I can't before I pull the trigger but I am seriously considering buying what I need to finish out this phase sooner than later which is about 11 months from now (the lift, drive shaft, wheels, Zeon 10 and couple other goodies). I am stuck between Enforcer 4" with 2.5 Kings or DD with 2.5 Kings with the plan of going to bolt-on COs in about 5-7 years when I do a motor swap. Or I could just save a bunch of money and go with the free Bilsteins via Northridge.
And I will need the help with the DD also. It sounds like a PITA.
Oh yeah! someone should start up a Houston Wrenching Party thread! lol :yup: although, the long arms might be a little more "intense" for a standard Wrench Turner... I'm confident I can do it, I just wish SOMEONE had access to something better than a rep saw... otherwise as iRonin said, I'll be grinding for DAYS!
I would also like to weld the front/rear brackets along with the rear track bar bracket in for piece of mind... but that would require a >190amp Mig which wouldnt come cheap... this isnt stuff the average "car guy" has sitting in his garage. lol
One option I have, if i could use the shop at work over a weekend, access to welders, plasma, grinders, air, etc... however, it ISNT an automotive shop, so I would still be doing it on my back and I wouldnt be able to START working on the jeep until 6pm Friday, and would DEFINITELY have to have it out of the shop 7am Monday morning... that leaves very little time for error/issue/FIGURING OUT the missing instructions...
At one point I did have access via a friend to a shop with everything but he has since left that job. I am not sure if I want to weld but I know I will have the right tools by then. I should be buying a cordless milwaukee tool set this fall/winter, also. The part that has me nervous is setting the control arms to the proper length so that all the angles are correct. But hopefully if one of us or both of us go this route we can have George at least join to give pointers and help. But it would be nice to have access to a lift or tall jack stands. Going at it without someone having prior knowledge of it will also be a tad daunting. I think we should all be good though in the end.
Setting your control arms and getting your caster right is easier than you think and you should have no problem doing it. I wouldn't sweat it too much. If it ends up being next summer I should have my new house and shop built with a 10k lift in it.

Bubba, NEXT summer? How about next month?!?
Shit man!! You can't talk like that...I am nowhere close to being ready to buy everything. Then again, you do yours first and then we can do mine. That way it will take far less time for my rig!! :yup:
I would just rather do the work when its NOT 100° outside... I'm from OHIO!!!:cheesy: :boohoo:
Yes, I think the HARDEST part is the cutting/grinding/placement. I'll spin nuts all day on the arms... haha
