Updated Texas Hidden Falls Adventure Park Newbie Run Oct 2nd-3rd

Thanks! Any recommendations just got my Jeep about a week go.

Just come with a good attitude. Your jeep is way more capable stock than you could ever believe. There will be plenty of air down tools and wrenches to disconnect amongst the rest of us if you don't have anything to air down and disco.

On another note, since USMC Wrangler is unfortunately unable to make this trip, I don't mind running tail-gun with a group to help out if needed. Both times I was there I was totally disoriented but I'll help out any way I can.

I'll move you up to tail gun, which will open one slot. Thanks for volunteering!

Great! Thanks! For help cant wait to meet everyone.

More than likely there will be more that drop out. I've seen it a bunch, people are all excited to go and then the day comes to hit the trails and people don't show up or are to afraid. Don't be surprised if there are more that drop out and don't say anything

Do you need to know how many people will be accompany me?

No, not a requirement, but I will add that info if you want to share.

I kinda guessed that no matter how much planning goes into these stuff can and does happen.

Hello,

Would like to be on the waiting list, also a newbie from Houston-area.

If you are able to go, I can add you to the going list. There are currently two open spots. If you are not sure, I'll gladly add you to the waiting list. Let me know! :thumb:

Just making a recommended what to bring on this trip for some of you guys who havent been wheeling before and what to have and what you need to know on your rig before coming although im sure George ( Ronin ) will go over this before hitting the trails in the debriefing.

What to bring:
Looks like itll still be in the high 80s by october
- Enough water for who ever you're bringing and youself. STAY HYDRATED. it dose get hot on the trails especially with having to get out and stop regularly to either spot or wait for group to catch up
-im sure some of us will have snatch strap/tow strap in our rigs but if you have one do bring it just incase worse comes to worse.
-Winch control if you have one
-Gloves to protect hands if needed to get out the car to either fix something or anything.
-Something to cover your face / mouth because it dose get really dusty at HF and especially if you have a breathing problem ( asthma etc )
-Something to out trash ( if you take it on the trail bring it back with you )
-Wrenches to disconnect your sway bars if you dont have discos or a rubicon (im sure people will bring one but good to start getting used to keeping in your rig when you go wheeling)
-Something to check trie pressures when airing out and airing up
-Tire plug kit incase you get a puncture on the trail

What to know:
-How to disconnect sway bars properly and lock diffs ( if you have this option on your rig)
-Where your tow points are that you can snatch from or winch from
-You're clearance ( break over, departure, and approach angles )
-How to engage your 4wd ( 4h and 4L )
-How your lockers work

What to have :
Good attitude, patience and a open mind

Also im sure this will be said many times during the trail rides but make sure youre comfortable with the obstacles youre going over. Push your rig enough to where youre comfortable. As you go you will learn more about your rig and what it can do. Do not be afraid to say no and back down and take the by passes even if everyone else isnt. No one will ridicule you for it.

And if anyone has anything to add into these lists feel free to add on! :)

:thumb: Great, please put me on the going list then.

Done! Please post up a picture of your Jeep so everyone knows who to look for. :thumb:

Also, only if you want to, let us know how many people will be with you, first name and if you're camping. None of that is required, but always helpful to the trail leaders. :yup:
