uh, NO! lol

Once we crossed into Nevada the price went down by almost 2 bucks!

Unfair...chevron vs 7-eleven. :)

You guys in Nevada now?

The company I work for (large oil producer) sent out an email last night stating the main reasons for why fuel prices are increasing in California (maybe common knowledge)...

- Gasoline supply is currently constrained in California due to disruptions at a number of California refineries
- Gasoline supply is also constrained because the industry draws down its fuel inventories while it transitions from summer to winter gasoline formulas as mandated by this wonderful state we live in
- California also has the most strict standards for gasoline formula in the nation, making it difficult (near impossible) to import Gasoline to meet supply shortages
- Outside of California, average gasoline prices dropped in the last several weeks with the overall decline in crude oil prices

Hooray for traveling in California this weekend!!!! :grayno: :broke:

This is the best explanation I have heard yet, but it still doesn't give an answer to the one pressing question on all of our minds: WTF!? as in WHEN THE F is this going to end?

On a good note our worthless Senator Feinstein is apparently pushing for federal investigation into the pricing strategies of the gas companies, not that I'd ever use this as cause to vote for her... EVER.. : http://www.diannefeinstein2012.com/...n-demands-inquiry-into-california-gas-prices/

Seen this done a few times up here.

The result will be that the price stays the same all year. But not at the lower price, the higher price is what sticks.

Its one of those "investigate us, we will fix YOUR problem".
