Tyson/Paul: Did you watch?

🚨🚨 Spoiler Warning!! 🚨🚨

So I watched the Tyson/Paul fight last night. I wish I hadn’t, it was one of the worst fights I’ve ever seen. I wasn’t expecting Tyson to come out and KO Paul in the first round but holy shit, he was so slow and lethargic, it was embarrassing. Paul was a wuss… he could have laid waste to Tyson with ease but obviously didn’t want to embarrass him with a beating. Seemed more of an exhibition fight than a real one…. Total waste of time.

I didn’t watch because of a prior engagement, but a bunch of text threads I am in were comical. To bad cause there was definitely some hype surrounding what it could be, but sounds like it significantly under delivered from what everyone is saying

I never watch fights but stayed up for this one and definitely will never do it again. I will say those two chicks beat the shit out of each other and was pretty entertaining.

That was several hours of my life I’ll never get back! 🤬

The chick fight was the best of all the fights and the female fighter from PR got robbed.

I think Iron Mike missed his window of opportunity early in the first round. He was fresh and Paul was a bit hesitant and unsure, however as the fight progressed Mike did what 58 year olds do- run out of gas. After that it was just sad and I felt bad for Iron Mike.

Lessons learned:

#1: Father Time is the greatest warrior of all time and in the end he always wins.

#2: Know when to say ‘when’ and be honest about your limitations.

#3: No amount of cash is worth your reputation.

#4: Never again stay up past midnight to watch some shitty watch-bait bull-shit on Netflix!! 🤣😂

it was exactly that, an exhibition fight and obvious Paul had no intention of hurting Mike.

It was every old man's nightmare; the brain fools you into thinking you have something you don't.

Now, I wouldn't step in the ring with Tyson but he ran out of gas after 1st minute and felt they dragged it on for the enjoyment? cringe of all the celebrities in the front row seats that I'm sure spent way too much for 16 minutes of watching sadness and misery.

LOL - thanks for the summary. I wanted to watch the fight but now I'm glad I missed it :)
Sorry, should have done a spoiler warning in case folks were going to watch it later.

Regarding the chick fight, as they most often are, it was bad ass. They fought hard and yeah, the PR gal was robbed.

I’ll start with if Netflix plans on hosting what looks to be two solid NFL matchups on Christmas Day then they need to unfuck the server issue today. Though I don’t think as many will tune in to the NFL as did for the Tyson fight.
Moving on, Tyson had what it took to demolish Paul in the first round. Didn’t happen so there was no gas left for anything more. But, Paul almost KO’d Tyson accidentally in the first. Seems like it was all scripted and agreed upon before it ever started.
The two fights prior were both good, and both could easily have ended as split draws. One did.
I didn’t agree with the referee to keep interfering with the ladies, especially deducting a point. Bumping heads is part of the game and nothing she did was intentional. Serrano landed hella more punches but were they all effective, nope. Personally don’t think she was robbed but do feel like they equally whipped each others asses. Kudos to her cut guy. That gash was so wide you could see her brain, but he kept it from being a bloody mess.👍IMG_9089.jpeg

I still remember Tyson in the beginning and the guys I worked with while in college putting the cash up for any of his PPV fights and getting together with a ton of alcohol and watching a seemingly 1 minute fight and then drinking our livers away the rest of the evening. I had no desire to watch this version of Tyson. Back in the day, a guy like Paul would never dreamed of stepping in the ring with Mike, no matter the payout. Dude was deadly back then. When Cuss died, he might have stayed on top, but he separated from the trainer that was with him and Cuss, and he started downhill.
