While there are a few homesteads in the area, this back corner of the property is quite far from any of them and so I have to say, I was kind of surprised to see a common cat strolling by the cam this morning.
I posted this on the game cam thread but thought I would include it here as well as it represents more of what we typically see

I downloaded the video but it was just of him leaving. At the very end, 2 more popped up way in the distance but the clip ended as soon as they did.

Yeah, they all look well fed. I wonder if it is actually beneficial to have them around when you don’t live there full time. Though, they’re probably not helping the deer and elk population I’m sure.

They wreak havoc on the deer fawns and elk calves especially in the first few months. I know a guy that can help you pretty soon.
