I don't have the utmost faith in the upper axle C on the front axle. It is significantly smaller than the lower C and it narrows down at the base of the C. The Dynatrac axle has a C that is about the same size or slightly larger than the lower C on the Mopar axle.

ECGS does offer that, but they charge a fair amount extra for it, and are already charging more than list price for the axles. The Mopar UD60s I bought list at $7k front and $4k rear, and I paid less than that list price for mine through the dealership.

I could've sworn that they were charging $7600 for the front and $4300 for the rear, plus a handling fee. I'd check but I'm at the Baghdad Intl Airport starting the trip home for the holidays and the wifi isn't the greatest.

Was able to get their site to load and it looks like they've dropped the price so it is no longer over the dealership's list price.

I used all the parts listed in that write-up, except the camera bracket, which I bought on Amazon. Cost me right at about $115 for everything.








Spliced the power wire for the camera into the passenger side back-up light wire with a soldering iron and rewrapped the wires for a clean install. Routed through the plug just behind the roll bar in the very aft R/H side of the Jeep.
















Then ran the wires along the harness that goes to the tailgate. My OCD will probably have me reroute those wires to be inside the sleeve so that it looks a bit better.







Took the Jeep to my local dealer today to have the vehicle configuration updated to include the back-up camera sales code with StarScan. No charge which was surprising. Here is the finished product. I had to slightly bend the camera bracket to get the fwd edge of the red lines to be a good location of about 8" from obstacles.

That's pretty sweet right there! I think I may have to do this right after Christmas. My wife's Town and Country has a backup camera and it comes in handy quite a bit. Plus, I can never really see good out of the back of my rig. Luckily, I have only ever backed over one car, but is was brand new. :grayno:

Quick question if you dont mind. I noticed looking at the link to the write up that the radio pictured has NAV on the right hand side.

I noticed the radio in your rig does not. I have the 430 radio in my rig, but no navigation. I was curious if that is what you had as well, and/or if this mod could be made to work on the 430 radio without Nav. My radio looks exactly like your pictured above. Thanks, and sorry about the thread hijack.

The 430N is what I have and they have a "soft" nav button that is displayed in the corner of the screen to access the navigation function. The 730N RER has a hard nav button on the unit itself. The backup camera should work on the non -nav 430 as well since all the plugs on the back are the same.
 
Made it home to the good ole USA yesterday and am finally back home in AZ for a month off work. Busy day today! Time to whittle down the stash of jeep parts I've accumulated. Today is ARB air compressor with Evo Mfg mount, Painless Performance Trail Rocker, and the ARB tire pump up kit.

Got the ARB compressor and Painless Trail Rocker installed today, just not completely wired up yet. Need to figure out how to use the Trail Rocker to trigger the ARB relay, and just wire the compressor to the battery. Trail Rocker is 30 amp per switch, but the ARB is 40 amp. The Trail Rocker's quality is top notch, and the instructions are outstanding! Only issue I'm having with it is actually a Daystar issue and not a Painless issue. The switch panel used by Painless on the Trail Rocker is the Daystar switch panel. I can't get it to stay clipped in. Just doesn't seem to fit right. The negative battery cable is a pain to reconnect as well, but that might be able to be corrected with some adjustment of the power cables and clamps. Need to figure out what to do with the 10 feet or more of wiring on the Trail Rocker that gets used to connect actual accessories for power. Currently just have it zip tied in place above the ABS module until I get some things wired up like rock lights, backup lights, front lights, and lockers. Overall a fairly easy install.

On the switch panel, adjust/expand the clips a bit and it will stay in. I had to do the same on mine because it wouldn't stay in.

Thanks for the advice. I'll have to give that a shot tomorrow when I get back out in the garage to continue on.
 
So is there power at one side of the Painless switches? If there is, you just need to pick a switch that you want and run the wire to the ARB relay to complete the circuit. Basically follow the ARB switch wiring diagram but use the painless switch instead of the ARB switch.

I don't want to run any of the ARB harness into the interior of the Jeep. I just want to hook up the ARB to the Trail Rocker main box input wire under the hood, since all of the switches on the switch panel are powered by the Trail Rocker main box. I think I have it figured out after reading some posts in the DIY SPOD-Waytekwire thread. Just need to build a harness and get it done.

That would work too. As long as your Painless switch or painless harness is running power to the ARB relay to close the contacts inside the relay. Good luck. I hope you get it all worked out.

That's how it appears to be configured in the picture someone posted on the DIY Spod thread. Just like in this pic below. Obviously instead of the diy spod fuse/relay panel at the top it'll be connected to the input wire on the painless harness that is connected to the internal 30 amp fuse/relay panel in the Trail Rocker main box. Seems fairly simple to do, I'm just not that confident when it comes to electrical and wiring.

Got the ARB compressor and the Trail Rocker wired up today. Was way easier than I was making it. I just used the under hood harness and relay that comes with the ARB CKMA12 compressor, cut the harness short, and spliced the red wire on the end of the harness that would normally get routed into the vehicle to the #1 output wire for the Trail Rocker. ARB compressor is still wired to the battery with the 40 amp fused harness, but triggered by the Trail Rocker. Saves a bunch of wiring and declutters the area behind the glove box and under the hood.

Also got the Daystar switch panel to stay in. Ended up having to remove the metal clips on the back of the panel and installing the orange clips that are on the oem net panel. Fits much better now.

SUPER impressed with the quality of this Trail Rocker. Highly recommend it. :thumb:

Installed the Evo Mfg Protek oil pan and auto xmsn skid plates today. Fairly easy install, especially with my new Snap-On 14v 3/8" drive ratchet. Eddie's writeup on Project JK helped out a ton! Pics coming shortly.

Also was able to air up my tires today with the ARB CKMA12 compressor and works great for stock tires. 37 or 40s will be pushing it's limits though.
