Tie rod end canted

Installed new Steer Smarts tie rod. Driver side is canted.

I assume this is not a good thing.

Remedy?

Steer smarts sucks more dick than Kamala Harris. Likely that's the issue. What was wrong with your OEM tie rod?

It appears you need to loosen the clamp bolt on that side and rotate the tie rod end clockwise until it is parallel. Then tighten clamp bolt.

My Synergy didn't, supposed to align it to mounting point on knuckle, tighten, then lock down clamp bolt.

Synergy does offer a few for their Rods that are Single Plane… Moog, RPM, Currie, Barnes sell standard Rod Ends that move in both directions.

Don’t worry about it. Unless the other one is cocked the extreme other way which would be an issue. I assume they’re both canted the same way right? Tie rod weight pulls it down. Makes no functional difference.

Rookie mistake on my end. Adjusted tie rod all is parallel now.
