I agree this technology is exciteing but at no time befor or after this "transition" will you "save" money. Like magic your electric bill will go up to make up for all that gas you were buying.

My wife's co-worker bought a Tesla this year and said paying for the quick charge at the charging dock costs as much as filling a small cars gas tank... and takes 5 times longer than toping off with gas.

Problem with electric vehicles is that the whole concept that they are better for the environment is a total farce. Mining of lithium, power plants needed for charging and batteries that’ll end of in land fills. Nothing more than a token and virtue signaling.
