Yes I experienced that also. I called a couple of dealers looking around for the right one and found that one that some lady had ordered, but she backed out of the deal. So I guess I got lucky. It's also funny how the options list has changed in 20 years (carpet, passenger mirror, back seat)!
Do you remember what you paid for the '95? I think I paid $18,500  I definitely remember paying $14,500 for my first YJ in April of '91 (first year with the 4.0 motor), soft top, 5 speed, AM/FM radio, and a trac-lok!
I know what you mean about the options list...I only wanted those options due to my first experience with a Jeep, which was also a 95 YJ that my at the time fiance's Dad purchased for her when we were in college. Although it was also brand new, hers was truly a no options Jeep, no carpet, backseat, passenger mirror or power steering.
So I spent several months ordering and installing those things in her Jeep. I don't remember exactly what I paid, but it was $17,XXX, which my Dad thought was crazy for a vehicle that you couldn't lock up! Your 91 sounds like it was loaded up with that 4.0 liter and a radio!
