Thoughts on wheels/tires for a 2 inch lift?

My plan is to do a 2" lift on my 2024 Wrangler JL 2 door 3.6L with the Mopar Performance 2" Lift Kit, https://www.allmoparparts.com/sku/77072396ah.html , and I am trying to plan out whether I need to move to an 18" wheel with 35" tires, or stay with my 17" wheel and go with 33" tires. I would really love some advice on this. I am not dead set on the Mopar kit, but since it is made by Mopar, my thought is that the install may be easier. *edit* I should probably also point out that this is my daily driver, so I will staying away from mud tires and just putting ATs on it.

18" tire selection isn't as large and they tend to cost more, I'd stick with 17"

17" is most common, and will provide better performance when off-roading by providing more tire sidewall to flex. Only use larger rims if you have to, or if you want more bling at the mall.

Another vote for not going 18” wheels. Did I miss it, or did you say why did you want to go to 18s in the first place?

All jokes aside, since you posted in the noob zone, if you really do go to 37s, you will likely want to regear your axles.

I went to 35s and 17” beadlocks right from stock and it was perfect for years.

Eventually, I did want 37s, but it’s ok to build your jeep incrementally. Just don’t settle for crappy parts along the way. Support US made, and independent shops whenever you can.

Thank you for your advice. I honestly didn't know whether to go with 18's or 17's, and I was hoping for reasons why or why not for either. I am sure I want 35s for the tires right now though. Not sure I can afford the tires, lift, and wheels right now anyway, so it would make since to stay with my 17's and just concentrate on the others. What I can't do for myself, I will be using the local shops. Not much in the way of Jeep parts stocked in my area, but I do try to by either American made or Mopar when I can. Thank you again for your response.
