Rolled out to run the Genoa peak trail and enjoy some sunshine. Checked online. No reference to it being closed. State line side and it’s alternate entry, gate was closed and locked. Bummer. Nice chill drive around the non Cali side of Tahoe though.

When my group hit the end of the pavement yesterday, the sheriff’s department had a command post and multiple vehicles setup. At first I thought we were going to get turned away. Nope! There were so many people they were escorting groups of cars up the mountain. [emoji2371] If you zoom in you might see the lights...

So we had a great time and I definitely needed that. Absolutely essential to me.

Took the family out to Glass Butte for a day trip to explore the back roads and cowboy shelters and collect some Obsidian.

While I was hooking him up.. he completely unbolted and removed the mirror, never leaving the drivers seat... [emoji23]

It really was a great run with some fun obstacles along the way... we went from Silverwood Lake all the way to Lake Arrowhead. The views were a lot more scenic than I was expecting.
