I guess for economics sake.....steel it is. Appreciate the input.
Synthetic is recommended to be changed out every 12 months, for value for money I would go steel.

Some probably do recommend that. I think Warn recommends every 3 years. I just inspect mine every year. No issues so far.
The biggest problem with the rope is it’s half the price for a new winch with steel.

Warn recommends 12 months, I probably wouldn’t be replacing every 12 months however I would definitely be carrying a replacement with me.

$1200 winch with steel, $600 for new rope. . One of mates own 2 ARB stores, when I asked him about the rope he told me to save my money. He said if you are keeping them away water they will last a little longer

Just got this installed in a custom stock bumper winch mount. Hoping to maybe get to use it on a fall color run this weekend, but will definietly use it the following weekend around the in-laws property.
