Drove through Death Valley today.
Temp dropped before I could get the pic at 125

Didn't stay outside for long

Man, I thought spending the summer in Vietnam was hot until I was in Palm Springs last weekend. The temp was not 125 but just below 120 out there like around 118. Holy crap, that temp is no joke.

You are not kidding, I was there last week too and it was smoking hot there especially last Friday! I hit the pool that afternoon and just yesterday got rid of the serious case of bright pink, sunburned skin that mother nature rewarded me with in what seemed like mere momemnts. Oh and as far as the temp was concerned it got a little hotter than you think, I took this pic while driving down the 111 and Fred Warring Dr at nearly 5pm last friday! IMG_3759b.jpg
 
I heard excessive irrigation in the Palm Springs area has bumped up the local humidity significantly. Combined with the extreme heat, it can be one of the most miserably hot places on the planet...
