I think the biggest problem with side-by-sides is that anyone can do it and pretty much, with the swipe of a credit card. I mean, you can literally take one home on a small trailer and with just about any car or truck. There is no concern that you need to take care of it the way you would something that you need on a daily basis to get you to work and back. And, there's no learning curve as you can pretty much take it off road and rip shit up, right from the get go. Back in the day, every Jeep was a daily driver and most enthusiasts belonged to clubs. There, they learned about things like airing down, disconnecting, spotting and maybe most importantly - TRAIL ETIQUETTE.
