She's at the dealership getting a cylinder head replaced. Sadly this is not an April fools' day joke. :grayno:
 
That sucks MTG sorry. The good thing is it's under warranty so it's less to worry about

Yeah, I was shocked when he said it was the head. Two weeks ago it threw a P00032 (Bank 1 O2 sensor) but it cleared itself the next day. I didn't have any other symptoms and at 35K miles I figured I was past the issue as most were having problems before 20K. I really thought it was just going to be a bad 02 sensor or something related to the exhaust. :naw:

A few things I've noticed.

1) It doesnt' seem to tick when I start it up in the morning any more.
2) it does seem to drive a little better (less RPMs) going up the hill
3) according to the computer I am now getting 3 MPGs better gas mileage. I think I've also been driving a bit slower than normal so that helps there too.


We'll see if they all stay true or not. :idontknow:
 
Bummer about the head. Been there. It sucks! Hopefully it's the last time and all will be well.

Sweet radar detector btw. Wish my jeep was fast enough to even need one. LOL
