Haha u like that? It took a total of 3 seconds or less a hole in 1/4" plate.
Got some more knocked out this morning. Started bending my main piece of frame. (It will sit a little higher and flatter than in the pic) Then I cleaned up and grinded all the factory control arm mounts off. Then made plates that with have a hole cut in them to slide over the tube and weld to the frame.
My Christmas morning was spent in the shop and got the main rear frame section completely welded into place. Gonna clean up and grind down the extra overhang of the frame plates eventually,

I'm not seeing how this tube is supported other than the single point (plate caps). Where else did you attach it? I'd think you'd want this point super beefy if it's going to support the cage, etc.
Normally, I've seen square tube used that's slightly smaller than the stock framerails slid inside which gives a huge contact patch for strength.
The tube does only attach to the frame there... The roll cage from the A pillar to B pillar is going to be tied into the factory fame in 6 different locations. Then all that is getting tied into the the rear tube frame section making for an incredibly stout and rigid chassis. So the rear back half is not "supporting the cage" its getting tied into the cage that will be supporting it and making it even stronger. Wait until the cage is completely done and you will see where im coming from.I can envision what you're working towards, and I wasn't trying to say you're doing it wrong, I just couldn't see where else the tube attached to the chassis. Maybe I'm jumping the gun though.
