Honestly the only thing that will be “protecting” is the power cable itself. All your devices have their separate relays and fuses to protect their circuit, so I’d skip calculating all the needs and just get a big ass one, it only needs to trip if it grounds. I think 4 gauge is good to like 150amps, So I’d just go with that.

I now have one 4 gauge wire that leads from the genesis to the accessory panel that I can pull off if there’s ever an issue and kill all the accessories. It also located all the relays and fuses into one spot.

I still have a bit if work to do to pull what’s left of the Spod out and clean a few things up but it’s miles better than where I was.

Nice looking setup! What brand is the relay box you used. This is going to be a Winter project for me. My battery connections are a nightmare :icon_crazy:

According to this link, 4 gauge wire is good for 70 amps (copper) or 55 amps (aluminum) at 140 degrees F. If this is true, I wouldn’t go with a 150 amp circuit breaker because the wire might overheat and cause a fire before the breaker trips.

These are the pieces I used.

Plus a bunch of wire, fuses, and relays. I bought a set of 4 gauge battery cables and cut the ends off for the power lead.
