The building of Bison

Bison looks good flexing, even if it is just a mulch pile.
Use what you've got, right.

It was probably a better place to start if something would have been really off being 5 minutes from home. Now, just need to figure the front bump stops and I’ll be ready for a run!

I'm just gonna use hockey picks on mine. That way I can add an inch at a time as needed.

LOL - not really. I found 12 for $14.99 on Amazon. The Synergy modular ones are $85.00. :hmm: Not knocking the Synergy, but I gotta start putting some cash into the TP fund

I use the RK ones. But I also have a case of
8 hockey pucks

I hear you. I had the 1.25” JKS ones on my last jk. Those were $22 each...

You got a deal on the pucks. I literally just paid $12 for 6.

(P.S. Sorry for the thread hijack)

Wow, just finished reading through this build thread, seriously bad ass rig you've built! Love what you did to the bumper and those axles are beefy!

Thank you! I can’t wait to get out and put it to the test.

Hey Bill, I never asked, any reason why you went with a 14 bolt rear vs say a 60 or an 80?

Stronger than the 60, it’s equivalent to a 80, but .5” better clearance than the 60 being that it was shaved to a 13 bolt. Someday I’ll drop a 6.4 into it and I don’t want to buy another axle.

Oh no! Does that mean my 60 is going to blow up!?! Ha ha! The 14 bolt wasn’t an option yet when I got mine or I might have done the same. Shaved diff just looks bad ass anyway.

I wouldn’t be too worried, the 60s plenty strong. I’m just done buying axles from Dan. That was set #3 from Dan in two years, so I went big.
