The building of Anvil II -- The Deuce

What are your thoughts on the Jdubs vs the Trucklites? Do you like one better than the other since you've had both?

Tonight was the first night I've run them. I think I've got them set too low, but I've got to get to a level place so I can adjust them at 25 yards. They put out good light, and they don't have the X pattern. I can't be sure yet, but the Trucklites may be just a tad better on high beam. I could run either one, really. You can get used to the X pattern the Trucklites have on low beam. Both sets are far superior to stock headlights, and light up the edges of the road much better, which I really like, driving in the country. With so many trees, the country roads are really dark, and being able to see the sides of the road better, really helps you spot deer.

Picked up a set of Rubicon take offs, with 4000 miles on them. I plan to sell my Rubicon wheels with the cheapo tires on them, to offset the cost. I now have an M/T tire, for any wheeling, and they'll do better than the ones I had, even though they were 285/70R17. They were really just street tires. 35's will come, later.

With the bumper & winch on the front, Deuce looked like he was taking a nose dive. I had some Terrorflex spacers. I added 2" to the front, but after looking at it, I did not install the rear 1" spacers. I may add them later, and put an additional 1/2" spacer in the front, but I think it looks good, now. I think I need new sway bar links, because the sway bar is not sitting level.

I took a look at the brake pads, while doing the swap. The front pads still have half the pad left, but the rear were really worn, for 25000 miles, IMO. Got a set of Carquest Platinum Professional brake pads.

Looking awesome with those new meats!!!!

Looking good. Let me know how much you want for the old ones I may buy them

A couple of them have a little rash on them, & the tires are no name, but if you want them, I'll make you a deal, Dale. I'll send you a text, with pictures, after I wash them up.

Installed a RockHard 4x4 oil pan/transmission skid plate. It's a nice piece, that looks like it can handle some serious knocks.
