The Build of NABOO the Starfighter JK

I can't believe that one piece of red cage doesn't drive you crazy!

i kinda like it.

That's so he remembers which side he's supposed to get in! [emoji23]

your on to something!

Cage looks good. 👍 That one red piece would drive me nuts. My wife always paints one of her finger nails a different color than the rest, so I guess it's a thing. 😎

I might have to fix it. girlfriend already hate the jeep enough. can't give her anymore excuses to dislike it more.

Looks good mike. Glad you got it all sorted out. Look forward to seeing you out on the trail soon.

looking forward to it!

The important thing is that it's in there whatever color it is. At least that piece is easily removed if you ever do want to paint it to match the rest. Until then, it your job to bring the McNuggets on trail days.

Reminds me of mcdonalds :D Can I order a big mac?

I was going to say the same thing but is just seemed so .... harsh .... [emoji23]

Now that's funny!!

Actually, since it's red because it's too much trouble to repaint it, it's more like Denny's... No one goes to Denny's, you end up at Denny's. 😂😂

New track bar, upper control arms, and unit bearings installed last night. Still hasn't fixed my issue, Axle isn't moving like it was, so it's better. But far from ok and as driving on the highway.
Sorry, not many pictures. To busy trying to fix my frustration on this issue!

Are your drag link adjustment bolts tight? Any chance it's your steering box or the pitman arm splines where it attaches to the box?

Damn, dude! Sorry you're still having DW issues after everything you've done to that thing!

I know you said you've checked and they're Dynatrac, but are you SURE your ball joints are good? I don't care who makes them, anything with that amount of stress has the potential to crap out.

No problem Bro!

It really sucks the issue persists

Broken brackets or welds @ track bar or control arms? Bent wheels? As mentioned, ball joints, steering box loose or frame cracks in that area, pitman arm tight? Trip to EVO for a diagnostic?

Drag link bolts are tight.

I was starting to get the same thought about the steering box and pitman arm. Any chance the steering box can become loose or worsen out and need tightening/replacing?

I bought a dial indicator to try and see for sure but haven't had a chance. This is on the list of possibilities. And one of the only things left that I basically haven't replaced....:/

Yes, absolutely it can come loose from the frame or the internals can wear out creating play.

Check those ball joints for sure. Just one of them being bad is a problem.

Both are worth looking at asap.

Mike, how did it drive before the axle swap? After? I've never experienced DW so I don't know. Mine drives great now and before. Trying to think of what has changed or is different than mine. I have psc steering box/ram.

Steering box is rare but possible. It's tricky to see with your eyes when diagnosing though. It's easier to put one hand on the steering shaft input and your other hand on the pitman arm output while having a helper turn the wheel. As soon as the input turns, the output shout turn nearly immediately afterwards. If there is a delay, you could have play in the box. How many miles are on the Jeep? At highway speeds, you should have about 3/4" play in the steering wheel before the vehicle actually turns/changes lanes. It is adjustable but tricky. Box shouldn't need to be adjusted until around 150k, if that even.

Mike, I have my old steering box if you want to try it to eliminate that possibility. Works fine. I just took it out when I went with the PSC system.

Trip to Santa Monica pier.... to drop it into the ocean. [emoji305]

Got it schedule for a free diagnosis tomorrow morning at another 4x4 shop.

If it's the steering box then looks like no choice but PSC hydro!
