What did you end up with for the caster angle? Curios also as to the joint angle at the axle.Did a caster adjustment today, I hadn’t done one since the pro rock install. My 65mph shakes seemed to go away. So my thinking of it being a driveline vibration, were seemingly correct. Just a couple days till we leave for Moab.
I’m sitting at right around 5* caster. I was using my phone since I couldn’t find my angle finder. Didn’t check the pinion angle. What did you end up with for the caster angle? Curios also as to the joint angle at the axle.
.
Unit bearing? In winnemucca. I guess my adjustments didn’t help the shakes in the jeep. It comes and goes seemingly at random. Sitting at 75 it’ll come on to the point you can physically see the Jeep shaking, then it slowly goes away for a little bit. Gonna keep checking things as we go.
I would think I would feel that in the steering wheel. When it shakes there isn’t anything in the steering wheel.Unit bearing?
I’ve never had one go bad on a solid axle, but my wife’s H2 drove like shit when they went bad and never had any feedback in the wheel. I just went back several pages, looks like you’ve been fighting this awhile.I would think I would feel that in the steering wheel. When it shakes there isn’t anything in the steering wheel.

I checked that when I did the axel swap but I’ll check it again. Aside from the shaking it drives awesome. You won't always feel it in the steering wheel, the only time I felt it on my JKU was when I took a curve at about 70 and the Jeep didn't follow the curve as expected.
When I jacked it up, I could easily wiggle the tire, took that off and could easily wiggle the outer part of the hub.
Another time, I was replacing ball joints and when I lifted the tire off the ground, it leaned inward - hub was shot.
Only way I found was to remove the wheel and spin the hub by hand, you'll feel the grind grit or it'll spin much to easily.
Yeah it’s been an off and on issue this is the first long trip without a trailer and I feel it more I think. I’ll give the unit bearings another look when I get to Moab.I’ve never had one go bad on a solid axle, but my wife’s H2 drove like shit when they went bad and never had any feedback in the wheel. Do you have balancing beads?
