I've been really happy with them. I was also surprised on how well they lasted, I put almost 37,000 on them and countless wheeling trips. They would still be good for trail use, but with a 3000 mile road trip coming up I thought it best to change them out.

Yeah I have about 36k on my KM2's doing a 5 tire rotation. They still have about 30-40% left. Damn things will never wear out..haha. May have to replace them due to age for safety reasons..haha.

Yeah I was getting stress cracks at the base of the lugs from pulling on the rocks. Also missing a few chunks [emoji23]

Changed out the alternator today, in hopes the whining sound would go away. It didn't... it's still about the same. So I pulled the stethoscope back out, came up with the same findings. The sound is coming from the alternator. The more I think about it. The more I want to say it's always made this sound. Even went as far as going through past videos. I can hear it in almost all of them, going back a couple years. One from when it was only six months old I can't really tell if it's there.

maybe I'll pull the belt again tomorrow and check the Idlers and tensioner again.

I hate throwing parts at it but I had myself convinced I had found it. I'm glad I rechecked!
Good to see you got your rig up and running again to. I bet that's a relief to be done with that one.
I turned the old one in for a core charge, couldn't swing the price of a new one right now. It didn't look happy anyways. But yes found the issue and will have the replacement part tomorrow.

Well got the new idler in today. No more whining! So glad I got it taken care of finally. Only photo is of middle of the job.
