Jeeps (especially built ones) don't have a wonderful stopping distance so always allowing extra room is wise. He is lucky if there were no injuries.

Well, Bearclaw will be out of commission for a while… Line of traffic went to zero in the blink of an eye because someone didn’t want to use the turn lane luckily I was able to brake for at lease a second.

My wife said the same thing about following. I wasn’t close but should’ve given more space being the speed limit is 70 and just went from 2 lanes to 1.

My wife went through this recently. 100% not her fault.. dash cam proved it, police report proved it.. and still dealing with insurance was a pain in the ass. (We got lucky it wasn’t totaled… but the whole front end was trash) They push used & aftermarket parts.. took months to agree on repair costs… finally just got her 4runner back after about 4 months.

A 392 with 35s and 4:88 gearing (with full float axels) sounds like a suitable replacement, and it might cheer you up. So that is what the insurance company should offer!
