January is truly a special month in that there are two birthdays that we celebrate in the WAYALIFE household. One is of course for Cindy and the other, is for our wonderful little Ripley and if you can believe it, they're just 3 days apart. And, while we've always jump into one of our Jeeps and head out to the desert to do some exploring for Cindy, this year, we decided to head out a bit early to let Ripley enjoy her day as well. Needless to say, these are just a few of the pics we took from all the fun we had
Because chasing a ball across a dry lake bed is one of Ripley's favorite thing to do, Cindy and I decided to head out on her birthday and make that our very first stop. Here's a couple of shots of her and all of us after she spent some quality time running her heart out.
And, what would a trip like this be without a stop or two at some fun watering holes - CHEERS!
And, because one can never have enough play, especially if you're a border collie...
But, when it was finally time to call it a night, Ripley settled right into her own bed.
Okay, so we kicked off Day 2 of our birthday celebration weekend by making a stop over at the world famous, Crowbar Saloon.
And, it would be hear that we met up with our good friends Tony and Step who were nice enough to break from their busy schedule to have some fun with us.
Not that it matters to anyone but damn, this was a really good BLT!
After spending way too much time catching up with old friends, we finally hit the trail.
Making our way to our first stop along the way.
And here we are! Who would have thought a place like this can exist in the middle of the desert.
I always love old homesteads like this.
Check out the cool old cars that were around the homestead.
