My neighbor wrecked his recently-repainted, 2000 XJ with only 155kmi. Insurance totaled it, so they bought it back and sold it to me. I cut out all the damage, found a donor frame at the junkyard, straightened all the sheet metal, welded the new frame, and replaced all the damaged front end components. I’m only about $2,800 into this, so not terrible considering its mileage.
When I say, “the addiction begins,” I absolutely mean it. I was never a Jeep fan, but found something special in the Wayalife videos. Got my first Jeep December of 21 and fell head-first into Jeep culture. Joined a Jeep club and became club historian.
XJ and JK are done, next will be a ZJ, LJ, and YJ with an eventuality for JL and JT.
