Looks like 11-13 would be a bad weekend to go. Seems like they have an event or something that weekend. So im sure it would be pretty packed. Looks like the better date is 18-20

Doesn't sound like this month is going to work out very well. If the weather stays nice should we shoot for early december? Anyone have a weekend in mind?

I know there was some talk about Escondido Draw in mid November, but when I talked with the Barnwell group this past weekend they said it would not be open to the public anytime soon. The only time to wheel it is if there is a scheduled work day...... So, I'm trying to see if there is enough interest in having a run at Barnwell the weekend before Thanksgiving 11/18-11/20. Meet up 11/18 in Gilmer at Bubba's Fat Burger around 6:00 Friday night. Then go run a few easy trails that night. Run an experienced group and a not so experienced group on Saturday. Then on Sunday we can all watch Dave run Twister, Dewoody, or just make the drive back home;).

We would probably need to make some reservations pretty quick, however if several people were going to camp I could try and get there early Friday and snag us a campground off the main road. I heard rumors that the bunk house/cabins were not the greatest.


What does everyone think? If there is enough interest I will put up the names of the trails the experienced group could run, I've got 8-10 level 3 and 4 trails (most with bypasses) picked out. Someone would need to take lead on the not so experienced group.

I have a live fire instructor course the first weekend, but I could do the second weekend. Finals will be over with for the semester, and I'll proboably get really drunk Saturday night.

How does December 9-11 look for everyone?
