Teraflex Parts Help

Hi! To make a long story short, I have a JLUR that had to have an immediate long arm lift replacement, and my shop ordered the Teraflex 4.5 in CT4 long arm kit only to learn that the upper control arms were on a four month backorder midway through installation on the kit. So in the meantime, I have the kit fully installed but with mid upper arms as a temp solution so that I can at least drive the thing on the road.

I am desperately trying to hunt down any of the following parts: 1310520 or 1316520 for the upper front long control arms, and either 1310560 or 1316560 for the upper rear arms.

The issue I am running into is that anywhere I am finding any of these parts online, they will say "in stock" however they are not and have to be ordered from Teraflex by these companies which puts me right back to square one - a four month wait.

If anyone has any advice on where to find parts like this that a shop or company actually has on hand, I would very much appreciate it OR if you have any suggestions on whether there are upper long control arms that would work with the kit as a temp solution. Right now, I am worried that flexing or going off road would cause issues given that I have the lower long arms but only mid arms on the upper front and rear.

I'm confused. If you've got long arm lower arms, I don't understand how you are able to drive your Jeep without long arm uppers. If your shop was able to make something work, whatever it might be is probably long enough to get the job done and nothing more is needed. Teraflex is made in China so it'll be a while before you can get your hands on what you're wanting. Worse comes to worse, you could probably have custom arms made and they will be a lot better than what you have now.

I have no idea - maybe the shop guy is an engineering guru? I was told the uppers are some mid arms he found and used as a temp fix, so the shop owner told me not to flex the Jeep and no offroading. It drives great on the road - not sure how he made it all work but maybe I need to ask for some more detail...

I just spoke to the shop - the uppers are mid-arm and are some RK arms they had laying around at the shop that they managed to make work for now.

Your shop sounds like a bunch of idiots. First thing I would do is find another shop. Second thing I would do is tell the first shop to fuck off.

That's how you make a mid arm kit duh. Its the best of both worlds!

That shop sounds like they are “special”! Find somewhere that is used to working on Jeeps and have them take a look at it. If the shop “made it work” I would be curious as to how, and what kind of redneck engineering they did.

what does "immediate long arm lift replacement" mean and how does a shop order a long arm kit, only gets part of a "kit" and finds out later the other part of the "kit" is on backorder?

and you don't have a "kit" fully installed, you have a partial install with shitty parts

sounds like that shop is taking your wallet for a ride on the biden plan

It’s simple math. Long arm lowers + short arm uppers = mid arm
