I can't believe this shit is still going! I kinda feel partially responsible for starting it and for this I apologise.

For the record though I have a 33 on the stock carrier with stock hinges no problems and no plans on changing unless I go bigger than 37s

I was contemplating throwing my 35 (or 34.4ish) on the stock carrier with an extension, but I decided I hated the shimmy that my tailgate had with my ~32in tire and wanted what I feel is extra heft for the tailgate.

If I was a fan of swing out carriers, I wouldn't have gone this route simply because of price... but I'm not a fan of swing out carriers.

Looks like, if they installed this correctly, it displaces the tailgate - bringing it out so it no longer sits flush with the back of the Jeep. Seems either a bad design or install (oh wait, this is the TeraFlex Jeep - gotta be an install error... No, design... No install... $%^t, must be both), oops no if anyone calls tell them it's supposed to be that way.

Looks nice from a distance but bad design and implementation. I thought it might be worth my time and money way back, read reviews here and strapped a rocket to my ass trying to get away from it. As you can see, every one of them has a different gap, sad, but not surprising with their quality control. I put my 34s on my stock carrier and still have no problems, well apart from blocking part of the view of my third brake light :eek:
