my buddy's jeep had a leak in the same location, he didn't notice it until we were working on my Jeep then decided to install his ball joints.
once we jacked up one side fluid started dripping along the bottom edge - very small leak but smelled of antifreeze.
it took a bit to locate the leak from behind the shrouding but we found it - couldn't see the stain from the backside so it was dissipating as he drove.
Once he took it to the dealer they repaired it under warranty because casting sand came out when they drained it.
his is a 2012 or 13, I forget what year...
