Initially a 4 way 19mm. Then a breaker bar. The chrome outer started to strip. Got an 18mm on and it all stripped off. I believe the garage who mounted my tires used an impact gun to tighten the lugs. There is no way there's corrosion on the studs. It hasn't rained here in the weeks since they were mounted.Yeah, what you're looking at can help. What were you using to try and get the lug nut off to begin with?
Okay, sounds like the nut might be gouged into the aluminum wheel. Have you tried removing any of the other lug nuts. Assuming they all come off, that might help to get the last one off as there might be just enough wiggle room in the holes to move the wheel around as you try to extract it.Initially a 4 way 19mm. They all did come off. I will try that. ThanksOkay, sounds like the nut might be gouged into the aluminum wheel. Have you tried removing any of the other lug nuts. Would a hammer drill in hammer-only mode and with a chisel bit work as well, or not as effective?
I am thinking a SDS plus or SDS Max hammer drill (in hammer-only) should match the pneumatic hammer drill.More humor or nah?
