SPOTTED: Any 4X4 other than a Jeep JK/JL Wrangler

Now I know you are old because you knew it was a Type III Squareback.

I used to be really heavy in to VW's, I owned many Type I's (beetles); 1958, 1963, 1966 (300+ HP 2187cc SCAT motor daily driver that I used to drag race all over the southeast), 1967, 1969 and the worst one, a 1972. My roomates at the time had a Squareback, A notchback and the holy grail of VW's a Type II 23 Window Transporter (bus), all of them were restored to like new show cars.

Back then (1987-92) I was racing Bugs, but I still had a jeep too- my truck was 1979 Jeep J20 3/4 ton Truck with full float Dana 60's. I still regret selling that jeep.

I too have been into VW's. my first car was 1968 Type III which my best friend wrecked. Then had a 72 Type III and finally ended up with. 71 Super Beetle. Still looking for a 64 ragtop.

'73 Superbeetle bright yellow & black bumpers, zero chrome, rear air shocks, fat tires, two tone black/ grey interior. I miss that ride.

....and nice.

If I had the room at home, I would have a VW project in the garage. Whenever I'm at the offroad races, between a few guys at Off Road Evolution, Dynatrac and myself, we always end up talking about our old VW rides in the past and compare notes ;)

I was doing some traveling around today and came across this absolutely perfect condition Land Rover 110 single cab. Swap out the gutless tiny diesel and it would be a nice daily driver back in the states.
