Cool CJ-8 spotted in Encinitas last night.

Gave my buddy a ride down to the SD Truck Shop (Toyota/Lexus off road shop in Miramar) since he was getting some work done to his 4Runner. Saw some cool Toyotas there:



Particularly liked this old FJ pickup, equipped with a period correct 70th anniversary Warn winch.

Wonder if that WINspeed guy traded his Jeep for a Toyota now that he's notched the frame.

But anyhow I meant my response as in general discussion, as I have friends with and have wheeled with pretty well done Toyotas. Luckily though I grew up in a Jeep family and was raised on solid axles - which is the right way.
