Hi guys im new here and would like to know what is the best spark plug to use for a jeep jk islander 2010 ??does it really improve mileage tx

I've tried several plugs in my 2010 and didn't notice any difference from stock. i run performance distributors demon coil and they also recommend using the stock plug

Welcome! Any pics of that Islander??

When I did my plugs the old ones looked good at 100,000 miles and i saw no change in performance or mileage before and after, I gotta agree, just get regular plugs and spend it on something your Jeep will enjoy :)

I was feeling a kinda shoke on idle like the engine cuts, loss in power on hills, and a rottle sound comin out of my exhaust, when i tool it to the stealership first they said it was the egr valve then they said no its the pcv and screwed me up with something that costs 20 $ and 5 min to replace (charged 180$!!!) and they said everything is find but u should change ur spark plugs and wires they are in a mess i told them ill do it my self!!! And here i am guys asking for help lol

My 08 X is having a similar issue. Thought it might be spark plugs but it didn't get any better after changing them. I used stock replacement plugs. Is your an auto or 6 speed?

if your spark plugs and/or wires are worn, they will cause misfires along with a bad coil. Have you pulled out a spark plug to see how it looks? Have you looked at your wires to see if they are arcing? if you run your Jeep with the hood open in the dark sometimes you will see blue sparks from the wires - this is not good. Another test is to carefully use a screw driver to touch the spark plug boot to the engine block, if you see a spark the wires need to be replaced.

a bad engine ground, bad O2 sensors (any codes), bad catalytic converter, dirty air intake will do the same.

You have a rattle sound coming from the exhaust? have you checked the heat shields, hangers etc... to make sure nothing is loose?

given that you are losing power, the catalytic converter may be coming apart from the inside, only fix is to replace it.

@jeeeep and btw i have no error code and nothing wrong shown by the computer i have a code scanner and checked it out nothing either what do u think??

How can i check the cathalytic converter?

How many miles are on your rig? I think they are covered up to 80000 miles free replacement from the dealer (federal law)

There is a pressure test that can be done but you need to have the gauge and plugs to plug the test holes that get drilled before and after the cat.

I'd take it to the dealer if within mileage or a muffler shop to get it tested.
