It is not clear that this person was "brandishing a weapon" as defined by Minnesota law. Carrying a gun and ammunition on its own does not constitute "brandishing". He was shot after he was already pinned to the ground by quite a few agents. But most likely he was argumentative and hostile like the other protesters there.

That’s why it’s better if Trump, Bovino and everyone else in the administration doesn’t frame this is as Gun Man Bad. He resisted arrest and fought with the agents and while armed. Crazy stupid and anyone with a concealed carry license should know better. That’s all the “bad” they need.

Here's my theory, the guy saw video where the Arizona AG suggest residents may shoot ICE in self-defense if they felt threatened, figured MN's Castle Doctrine applied (which it does not) but decided if he could agitate ICE enough, he would be justified in shooting them.
Once again, bad decisions have bad consequences, but the media and democrat politicians jump on their holier than thou pedestal and admonish the wrong people.
Democrats DO NOT GIVE A FUCK ABOUT CITIZENS, they want more dead, they want to use the victim card for midterms, they want to protect the criminals so they can be the heroes and fix what they created, same playbook as always but they need more souls to devour in their quest for power.

I'm surprised the guys in camo pajamas haven't been shot at sooner to be honest. They look like a goddamn Mexican cartel assassination squad. Good thing that CBP are joining them on assignments because at least they have uniforms. If the guy did have in mind what you suggest, I'm sure that shit went out the window when he was confronted with that many armed men.
In regard to Democrats DO NOT GIVE A FUCK ABOUT CITIZENS, I hear you, but I truly believe neither do Republicans. They're all in it for the grift. We only have a very few honest politicians (if any) on either side that aren't in this for their own personal gain.
