Silver Lake Round 2 and then some

Well this is awesome. Can't wait, we have a decent sized group heading up may 2/3 weekend. This means more dunes!!! I like it, you boys should join us on that weekend. It would be nice to see some members there!
 
Some of us booked the sites for May 2/3 should any other members be interested in going. Just splitting site fees

I subscribed to keep track, I have to go to southern Illinois that weekend but hope to make the next trip
 
We can keep this thread alive for the trips to come. May 2/3 is booked for anyone interested. Literally all are welcome. Rigs are just being finished up...rushing to finish the welding on the yj and install suspensions on 2 jks lol. First test with the set ups before MOJAVE the end of this August
 
Just a refresher on the dunes for you guys. Early on in the season the peaks will be sharper at the top and the drop offs can be steeper. So just take the first couple runs easy till you figure out the area again. I know you will be tearing that massive 3.8 up and trying to soar and all.
 
Hey guys, just wanted to let you know I took a new job about 20 miles SW of Cleveland OH so I definitely won't be making the May trip but do plan on taking a trip with a couple other JK's in the summer. I will be checking out a place near my new home town called Southington Off Road Park though. I am about and hr closer to you now though George so maybe you could swing down to OH some time and we can hit the off road park. I will check it out and let you know what it's like, looks good on YouTube vids.

Well now you are a lot closer! I'll be likely taking a job in novi since I graduate this august after our trip so I'll be even closer! Can't wait to wheel with you guys!

Scott you should hire me ;) that way I can wheel more with you!

That is very tempting. There are gonna be some good give aways at the blessing so I'm gonna have to pass on Saturday. I'll have to see what I can do. That's good to hear Scott. One of these days I'm gonna have to man up and move out west so you guys will have some place to crash on wheeling trips.

You're welcome to come any day! The 3rd we want to try a trail and can drive an hour or so in any direction to get to it
 
I'll see what I can do. Right now I'm waiting on the A-holes at 4wd.com to get off their asses and get my tires to me. It's been almost a month. They were supposed to ship again yesterday but they couldn't even tell me if they were in the warehouse yet. So I might be getting tires mounted on the way to the blessing.
 
I am in the same boat. Technically speaking I shouldn't take repertoire off road all because my suspension is so finicky and has zero fine-tuning in terms of mom stops and every other little detail. literally waiting on having my tire kill you shipped to my House [it's been well over five months] I sent them a design I wanted made and they said they couldn't deal with my cad drawings and so far I've seen zero progress now they've thrown in the tire carrier for free to go with my bumper. The only catches the bumper I designed uses a boulder style tired kill your similar to the one made by Evo and I am 99% sure they sent me one that sits on a bumper. I can't wait to see how they fucked this up like that I'm going to have to try to just sell the bumper and tire Carrier since they won't be what I actually wanted and designed. They also said they're sending rock sliders in weld on steps for my ruby rails but at this rate I don't know what I'm actually going to get. I also need to pick up my coils from the powder coat shop since I drop them to get them painted then I have to install my new lift get an alignment and somehow have time to adjust my mom stops it's still make it for the trip on Friday… Oh and also work 40 hours between nowand Thursday.

I need a fucking miracle to get my rig finished up in time plus I've been working on a buddies why Jay were taking with us along with two JK's both of which need some suspension work one needs a lift and the other one has death wobble up the fucking ass. I totally dictated all of this into my phone so God knows how bad the grammar. Came out so keep that in mind
 
Good deal man. I just got notification my tires will no on the doorstep today. Gonna get them mounted in the morning. Nothing like waiting till the last minute.
 
Seems everything was last minute for everyone. I'm still running my old coils since my new ones are still getting powder coated, my rear bumper and tire carrier we're only just shipped, I do not have any Roto packs mounts on, my winch isnt wired up, but at least my cool fox shocks are in right LOL
 
Will be hitting the dunes Saturday Fridays just going to be long lunch dinner and relax. But Sunday were planning to do at least two trails if we have the time so if you wanted to meet up between the two cities I'm sure everyone's willing to drive at least an hour to hit a few trails get some food and then head home
 
Im not going to be able to make it down this time. I only got Saturday off. I have to be back at work Sunday. But look forward to getting together hopefully at least once this summer.
