The local channels (western KY) were bellowing 4-8" and likely upside of that in the storm "bands". We maybe got 3", 4" in the "band" areas. Some major winter snow storm. And what's up with giving these "major winter storms" names, like a hurricane??? Are we THAT weak nowadays?

Normally if my kids are quiet and not fighting with each other, that means they're up to no good. Turns out today they actually stayed self-occupied out in the snow lol. It was so quiet, I went out to check on them. Found this outside to my surprise.

Big Sky has received 100 inches of snow since Christmas Eve! But might get a few complete days of sun this week. You can see by the trucks that the snowmobiles are out in force.

It didn’t let up from the start of the day till the end of the day.

Oddly, at home Belgrade we’ve hardly received very much. I’m only about 35 north of Big Sky (as the crow flies)

My parents were supposed to drive back to NY yesterday but postponed a day because of the storm. Probably a good thing they did. We didn’t get any snow to stick but it was 10° this morning.

They are headed up 81. Left here about 7 this morning. They break it into two days so if they get slowed down it’s no big deal.

Where in NY? Some of the mountains in Pa I’ve had to cross when it was snowing not real fun but they seem to keep the highways well plowed.
