We just hit the longest dark period of the year on the 21st. I believe “sunlight” was only around 2 hours if that. Now we start getting 7 more minutes of light every day.

I’ve noticed that if the snow is lighter and fluffier it doesn’t stick. Our early season snow stuck to the headlights but lately it hasn’t stuck

It sounds great, until you have to deal with temps between -20 to -40 on average. Hasn’t been too bad so far but Jan and feb are the coldest months of the year

I don’t mind the cold temps, as long as I have the right gear. My wife on the other hand, Montana temps are as cold as I can get her to deal with lol hasn’t even been that cold yet!

I’m at Eielson. There’s at least one other JLUR and two Saharas here, plus a yellow Rubi I’ve seen in Fairbanks. You’re right, though, not many running around, yet.

What Rage said. It’s starting to get lighter out. By summer, it seems like the sun never sets. I think summer here is tougher than winter in some respects (and I’m from AZ).

That must be a tough transfer being from Arizona! Hopefully you enjoy the cold! I’ve never enjoyed the heat being from Florida lol I was always trying to escape, slowly getting farther and farther away.
