last call for donations I had with the NRA boiler room rep, I told them to pass along the message of no more money until the NRA starts to show results and not lip service.

I bought a life membership to the NRA about 30 years ago. I no longer donate to them.
I do support Virginia Citizens Defense League and these guys. Both deliver a lot of bang for the buck.
The American Suppressor Association is the entity mostly responsible for this legislation being advanced.

Not sure about the total accuracy of this. If a stranger calls me and asks about firearm ownership I’m pretty sure I’d be totally honest, but it’s interesting nonetheless.

surprised to see Texas so low but makes sense as it aligns more with hunting friendly states.

Yes, Texas stopped being an open "western" state quite a long time ago as illustrated by Dallas fencing off everything and cattle drives were forced to Fort Worth, before they were shut down entirely by all the fencing.
A lot of people here believe in concealed and open carry, but it is still not common to notice someone carrying a gun.

But Texas now has open carry, and almost all are eligible by default. Some business do have the necessary signage to prevent entry with open carry, but most do not.
I have observed open carry in New Mexico and Arizona.
