Running Carpetless in a JKU

I understand that all shops have their own prices but what is a ballpark figure for line-x? Also what needs to come out? obviously seats, carpet and some trim, but what about center console? I am definitely going to have mine done just looking for what to expect and any advice about it.

It's about 1000 bucks. We kept the console in when did ours, but we did brush on Herculiner. I like the look of LineX better, but for a little over hundred bucks, doing the Herculiner ourselves was well worth it to us. 6 hours of time.

Wow that’s a steal of a deal I’m from Canada so everything way more expensive I was quoted 5000 for them to do the hole body and with that said body won’t be getting done and with all the stuff I needed to do the interior myself was probably close to 600 god I wish I live in the states.

You have to vacuum, mask off, sand/scuff, vacuum again, then acetone it. It's about 3-4 hours just for that. Definitely labor intensive. Good project on a sunny day with beer nearby.

I do some river jeeping here and there and go to the beach a lot so I end up with a lot of sand in my jeep. It’s pretty awesome just pulling the floor plugs and spraying it out instead of vacuuming. Plus with animal hair... Seems like sometimes vacuums struggle at removing it. Downside, you ride will be somewhat louder. When I drove 13 hrs to Moab I decided to reinstall my carpet for that trip. The other problem is you will have to buy or make something to go in your cargo area to cover where your jack is. I thought it would be cheaper to make one but by the time I had that linexed too I should have just bought one.

Tuffy makes a lockable cover. That covers the tube and Jack area. So I just sprayed it to match and looks good.

I have been using Bedtred for years and it looks and works great. It replicates bed liner but is easy to pull out and clean. Or to pull if you flood the inside and need to pull the drain plugs. It has heat shielding and gets back the noise reduction of carpeting.

Yes, I went to CarToys and got several sheets of the peel and stick dynamat and placed it along the sides of the middle hump. It seems to help with the heat that you feel on long trips.

2015jku. Ima do mine in raptor linner going to use 2 cases atleast so 200 bux off Amazon if ur gonna go through all that trouble u mine as well do it urself and buy some new tools if u don't have them. Raptor is really easy u dont even need a spray garage. I'd just roll it in some grass and mask off everything with painters plastic and some blue painters tape. Iv done my fenders, both bumpers, rock rails, hardtop, inner fenders and tramp stamp in raptor=3cases. I used 55 psi which was pretty good spray texture at about 12 to 18 inches. Another about 100 in goodies: Order a spray gun off Amazon for like extra 15 bux. The plastic and tape might cost u about 50 bux. And I always get a can of acetone for like 7 bux and strong laytex gloves. And last maybe 30to 40 bux worth of primer. The only thing I foresee being hard to paint will be the footwells in getting the paint upside down. There's a small hole on the sprayers that leaks when inverted. That being said I'll probably start there and hit it like 8 times. I'd plan on more than one day if u doing all this. 1 day prep use grinder. 1 day paint and remove tedious masking tape about 1 to 3 hrs after start.

Jeep interior liners

Hey guys,

I was thinking of replacing the liner in my jeep. I have a Shepherd Husky that I take with me in my Jeep, but he sheds A LOT. So the inside of my Jeep can be littered with pet hair. The current carpet just seems to hold all of that hair, even after hours of vacuuming. Any thoughts on this product? https://bedrug.com/bedtred-jeep-floor-liner

Or has anyone else found other options?

I've just been running carpetless, and i throw a thick wool blanket in the back to keep the floor from getting hot when my malamute is riding with me. The hair is probably the main reason i never bothered to put that carpet back in. The noise increase is noticeable, and much more so in the rear than the front. (I removed the front months before) but its not enough to really bother me.
 
JK interior—Line-X, Rhino liner or not at all

For a long time I’ve been considering ripping the carpet out of my JK and having a professional spray done inside. I know it’s not cheap, I’m ok with that. I’m looking for input from anyone who’s had this done and opinions, pro or con. I realize I don’t drive a Caddy but I’m interested specifically in noise and temperatures. I’d appreciate any input from those in the know. Happy Jeeping.

Floor pan bedlining/carpet removal

Merged here. Both of our Jeeps had it, not sure what it is. We just sanded it so it wasn't glossy and the bedliner adheres just fine. If you're going to bedline the tub, you won't see it hardly. Especially if you have floor mats on top.
