Rubicon Trail

Honestly, I somehow figured you would be the kind of guy to help clean up after other losers out there. Thank you for that. If I had been in town as you came through, I would have loved to say hello. Perhaps another time. As far as the abandoned Jeep goes, that really sucks. Was that on Cadillac Hill?

It was between Buck Island & Rubicon Springs...he must have come down Cadillac Hill...to be honest, I can't believe he made it that far.

On another note, Jeep was doing a commercial film shoot while we were on the trail...they had FCA corp guys fly in to Rubicon Springs...they drove a stock Grand Cherokee in from the same direction we came...Loon Lake...they did the bypass at Little Sluice...and were right behind us on Cadillac Hill...along with an army of young rock stackers with gloves...

Looks like a great time! How do you like that tent?

I like it a lot...it is by far the easiest way to set up camp...however, it's better suited to milder trails...putting 150 lbs further away from your cog makes it more difficult to control spring hop going thru the rocks...I'm going to remove it and use a bug room on the arb awning as a tent...sleep in a cot. For easier trips, I'd rather tow the Xventure trailer w/hard top tent...

LOL!! That's cool you got to see that. I'd love to help out on one of those shoots but they know I'd be too tempted to take pics and make a post about it

I suspect that there will be a little photo shop magic during editing...rocker panels where not in pristine shape when I passed them in Rubicon Springs...

Sweet pics! Glad to hear that you cleaned up after someone else and that sucks to hear someone trashed a rental like that. At least you all had a great time. :yup:

Randomly came across this on instagram, these floats looked familiar. Think we found the culprits?

People are so stupid. So many people have been caught for crimes after posting shit on social media after the fact.

This makes me sick. It's assholes like this that give all of us a bad name. Seriously, how lazy can you be not to deflate it and take it with you?

this trail is on my trail list for sure. one day I'll make the long trek down.

thanks for posting.

it's a constant battle up here with asshats leaving shit on the trail. I have a "garbage tote" in my Jeep when we go just for beer cans on the trail.it was so bad one time my daughter told me to turn around cause she was tired of hoping out to pick the cans up.

Anyone call them out on IG yet?

I didn't initially, came here first to verify. Then got tied up with calls for work, we can unleash the WAL Strike team whenever you guys are ready

I just did a google search on aka_ginger. first pop up is a porn hub video.

maybe they were doing a shoot.

:crazyeyes::crazyeyes:

I just commented on the photo to ask about them leaving the floats behind on the trail, looks like the original post (the one I screengrabbed was a re-post) was 4 days ago and Brute posted his photo 2 or 3 days ago. :grayno:

Edit - she responded, said she brought them home with her and still has them in her garage. That they were bought cheap off of Amazon, and that the ones left behind are probably somebody else's. I have no proof one way or the other.

Oh then it must have been the other person that took the exact same shit up there.

I left her a comment as well.
